Green building master plan ~Hidehiko Fujiyoshi~

We are currently participating in a IoT energy control experiment sponsored by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore with our partner companies. This is Singapore’s national project to bring 80% of Singapore buildings to the Green standard by 2030. Our AIrux8, which has a proven track record at the Volkswagen building in Singapore last year, was adopted as the main control system for the BCA project last year, and the government-led test will soon begin at the DBS bank building, despite the corona stagnation.
The energy reduction target is set at 30%, and the part in charge of our company is the power consumption of lighting and air conditioners.

If the results are confirmed in this test, AIrux8 will be the system that was first certified by the Singapore government in the Green Mark Scheme, and there is no doubt that it will be the basis for our extremely large overseas expansion. Despite being a tropical region that consumes a lot of energy, there is little competition to deploy green IoT buildings in the Southeast Asian market, and we are eager to aim for speedy development in Southeast Asian countries, starting with Singapore, which consumes 43.5 billion kWh/year of power consumption. I’m out.
Most of the disasters caused by weather changes in various countries around the world are due to human environmental destruction, and the main purpose of this project is to think about what we are now when we consider the earth for the next 50 to 100 years. Should? Is that. Of course, as Singapore is a country with a complete energy reduction system, aiming to lead the world is also a big theme.

It should be noted that our company’s profit model for this business is to visualize the reduction results of power consumption and obtain 20% of SaaS service revenues from the reduction results, so it has a high social contribution and is in line with the direction of the government. I am. Many Asian countries participate in this Green Mark Scheme, but unfortunately Japan does not. This may be the reason why the lighting of Japanese subways and shopping malls is always brighter than in other countries.

Well, it’s been almost a year since the decision to use AIrux8 was made, but I was able to gain a lot of awareness through this project. Our AIrux8 is a system that adjusts the consumption of air conditioners and lights in real time by monitoring the presence or absence of people at sensor nodes that are installed every 3 m2 to 4 m2 on the floor every 5 minutes. While designing this system, what is the space in which people move in Office due to the social background of Corona overlapping? I became interested.
Prior to 2000, there were only a few computers in the company and documents were also filed as paper, so many were shared and used by most companies, and it is natural that most working people would have to work unless they went to Office. I think it was. However, to what extent are office spaces and equipment shared and used today? There is no doubt that the real value of Office has been significantly reduced from 20 years ago when thinking about the value of Office for a different purpose from telework recommendation due to corona effect. But Office rents haven’t dropped dramatically, but rather have gone up.

So what is the real maximum value to come to the office? I think that it will be to communicate with people face to face. In other words, I think that the current rent does not come down to the space share and the equipment share, and most of the consideration goes to communication with people. Currently, communication with people is gradually decreasing mainly in the younger generation. Even if you come to Office, you can chat with each other through computers. How much value is there in a single word of communication? Recently, I started thinking about such a thing. I believe that the value of communication with people both inside and outside the company will continue to increase.

The other day, the company’s press announcement on the beauty salon business is based on a communication space between people, which will not disappear even if e-commerce spreads in the future. We have firmly accepted the social responsibility of our company, which develops media in valuable places where such value is integrated, and contributes to society in Southeast Asia, and a platform service of higher value with the theme of importance of communication I have come to think even more strongly that I want to develop.
